Dalgona Coffee made with cold coconut milk |
I`m not really one to go along with these kinds of trends, but I had to try this one because....Coffee!
I love coffee and for me there’s nothing better than waking up to the smell of freshly made coffee and having that first cup in the morning.
So, I decided to give this one a go. The dalgona coffee seemed to me like a mix between a dessert and drink...perfect! I can now say that I’m a fan and will be making at again soon.
Plus it was really easy to whip up.....literally.
I love the Alpro creamy coconut milk. Delicious! |
I made these with icy cold coconut milk and the dalgona foam. The foam gives the coffee a nice intense coffee flavour. On its own it’s quite sweet and too intense but mixed with the milk, a great blend.
Marshmallow-like consistency |
RECIPE
Dalgona coffee
2 tsp instant coffee grounds (for example Nescafé)
2 tsp sugar
2 tsp boiling water
Mix everything together and whip until you get a creamy, foamy, almost meringue like consistency.
(This amount is possible to whip up in the bowl of your mini KitchenAid if you have one. Otherwise a hand whisk will also do the job)
Dollop onto your coffee with any preferred milk that you like. Hot or cold.
Enjoy!
Happy coffee making!
