Hi! I`m Laura 

And welcome to my blog NIEMI

Let me quickly introduce myself. I‘m Laura, the culinary artist behind NIEMI and a professional pastry chef with almost 15 years of experience in the culinary world. 

I‘m originally half Finnish and half German and I'm settled in the beautiful city of Zürich Switzerland for the past 10 years. 

Why Switzerland? Because I love living in the country where the best chocolate is made 😉

I have the biggest passion for patisserie and baking. Ever since I was in my early years, baking has always fascinated me and it has become such a passion of mine that I decided to turn it into my career. 

I decided to go to pastry school in Germany and completing my Masters in pastry after that as well. 

Baking and recipe creating has always intrigued me. I love to experiment with new ideas, recipes and new techniques and I always keep learning and trying new things.

I‘ve been blogging for a few years and I love sharing my recipes, insights and creativity through this blog with everyone. 

I started food photography just a few years back and I love the creativity it gives me trying to catch the flavor, texture and essence of my recipe through a single frame.
